Photo of Dr. Nabeel Syed Dr. Nabeel Syed received his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio in 1989. He performed four years of surgery residencies and four years of urology residencies.

During his residency years, he was very active in community service efforts. He also won numerous awards and competitions, including Best Urology Intern Award in 1994. In his final year of residency (1996-1997), he served as Chief Resident at Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Dr. Nabeel Syed has been licensed in Texas since 1990 and has also gained certifications in laser surgery and Indigo laser.

Asif Syed, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Photo of Dr. Asif Syed Dr. Asif Syed received his medical degree from Mysore Medical College in Mysore, India in 1960. He then undertook two years of internship training in India, another year in Canada, and two years of surgical residency in the United States. He was Chief Resident in urology at University Hospital of Wisconsin in Madison, WI. After his urology training, he pursued a one-year residency in pathology in Canada, followed by a one-year fellowship in urology.

Dr. Syed began private practice in 1971. He is certified by the American Board of Urology and he is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (F.A.C.S.). He is also a Fellow of the International College of Surgeons and has equivalent certifications in Canada.

In his medical career, Dr. Syed has held numerous hospital positions, including Chief of Urology, Chief of Surgery, and Chief of Medical Staff. He has also been a clinical instructor at Southwestern Medical School in Dallas.

As a sign of his commitment to healthcare, he is involved in research, publishing in professional journals, and community committee work, such as with the Texas Medical Association Committee for Sexually Transmitted Diseases.

Robert Bloom, M.D.

Photo of Dr. Robert BloomDr. Robert Bloom received his medical degree with honors from Autonomous University of Guadalajara, Mexico, and has practiced Urology in the United States since 1979. He has been certified by the American Board of Urology since 1989.

Dr. Bloom was a Clinical Instructor, Department of Urology for the Tulane University School of Medicine, when he practiced in New Orleans for 21 years before he came to Dallas because of hurricane Katrina.

Kelli D. Whitehead, M.S., A.R.N.P.

Kelli WhiteheadKelli Whitehead is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. She has also earned a Master of Science degree from O.U. as a nurse practitioner. Kelli has been practicing as a nurse practitioner in the field of urology since 1998. She has also trained and practiced sexual medicine for the past 5 years. Part of her training has been with Dr. Irwin Goldstein who is world renowned in his research and treatment of male and female sexual dysfunction. She helped develop and was the first provider for Unitus Center of Sexual Medicine in Oklahoma before she moved to the Dallas area. She is currently an active member in the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health, Texas Nurse Practitioners, and the Society of Urologic Nurses and Associates.
